Thin Edge New Music Collective (Toronto) and Ensemble Paramirabo (Montreal) team up to present a new programme exploring the spirit of collaboration.

Featuring Steve Reich’s award-winning “Double Sextet,” Louis Andriessen’s “Worker’s Union,” and the Vancouver premiere of a new work for all 12 musicians by Brian Harman, Raging Against the Machine reflects the desire to create a climate of shared resources, audience, and community. Touring across Canada, this exhilarating performance also embraces the mechanical, rhythmic qualities of Reich’s piece and the political undertones of Andriessen’s.
Next, both ensembles will move into uncharted territory when they each premiere a piece by a composer recommended by the other.
See you there!
The Thin Edge Music Collective and Ensemble Paramirabo’s tour is presented with generous support from the Canada Council for the Arts.Presented in cooperation with Music on Main.

The Fox Cabaret is wheelchair accessible. Please inform Music on Main of any mobility needs when booking your tickets: 604.879.9888 or by email at info@musiconmain.ca
