Celebration Hall, Mountain View Cemetery | Part of All Souls
Little Chamber returns to All Souls at Mountain View Cemetery with a very special presentation. We offered an artistic challenge to acclaimed composer Joelysa Pankanea: to process through a piece of music the grief and emotional turmoil of her mother’s death last year. The result is The 1st Stage, a haunting work for six voices, marimba and double bass. Featuring Musica Intima, Vancouver’s premiere chamber choir, with Martin Fisk (marimba) and Mark Haney (double bass).
All Souls is an annual community event at Mountain View Cemetery based around remembrance and reflection. It is created and curated by Paula Jardine and Marina Szjiarto.
